Fern Britton admitted she was feeling “so achy” and desperate to “recharge” in a Twitter post earlier today. The star’s fans wished her better soon as she confirmed she was not suffering from Covid.

In view of her 107.3k followers, Fern, 64, wrote: “I’m so achy today. No covid … but whole bod in need of a recharge”.

In a bid to cheer her up, Tina Smith replied: “Look out your window, buds are growing on the trees, daffodils are on their way.

“Spring is coming, new season brings new energy. Rest and look out at the Spring x”

Tina Helme recommended: “Long soak in bubble bath  early Easter egg and Love is blind Netflix. X” (Sic)

Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley advised: “Cryo chamber! Resets me every time! Xx”

Heather B added: “Those bleedin’ aches and pains we get.  I was waking up like that every morning so decided to take a bone supplement.

“My diet is excellent but post menopause I feel we all need to top up.”

In a recent episode of Kate Thornton’s podcast White Wine Question Time, Fern opened up on her pregnancy aged 43, revealing it was “last chance saloon” for her.

She shares 20-year-old daughter Winnie with her TV chef ex-husband Phil Vickery, as well as twin boys Jack and Harry and daughter Grace with another ex-husband, Clive Jones.

Speaking about the turmoil during the rounds of IVF that eventually allowed Fern to conceive her twins, she said: “Anyone who has been through IVF knows about those drugs and the enormity of building your hopes and dashing them, it’s extreme.”

Fern then described Grace as her “miracle baby”.

“Then unfortunately my marriage broke up when she was five months,” she continued.

“So that was a tricky one so I had a year of really digging deep, but then a year later I met Phil.

“We were married after a year so that was two years since Gracie was born.

“And then the last chance saloon, I always say it’s late night shopping just before the doors close, Winnie arrived.

“So that was exciting and then we had Winnie.”

Fern announced her split from Phil in 2020 with a joint statement that read: “After more than 20 happy years together, Phil and I have decided to go our separate ways.

“We will always share a great friendship and our lovely children.

“We would appreciate it if our privacy is respected at this time.

“Thank you for your continued kindness and support.”
