Sinead O’Connor’s family have confirmed she will be laid to rest on Tuesday, with fans having the opportunity to pay their final respects to the Nothing Compares 2 U singer.
The star was found dead in her flat in south-east London last Wednesday aged just 56 and her sudden death left fans across the world in mourning.
Sinead’s fans, family and friends will be able to say a last goodbye to the Irish star.
This coming Tuesday morning at 10.30am, the singer’s funeral cortege will progress along the seafront in Bray.
The procession is set to go past Sinead’s home of 15 years on Montobello, Strand Road in Bray, Co Wicklow.
Sinead’s family issued a statement confirming the funeral details today, explaining how the singer had “loved” living in Bray.
They said: “With this procession, her family would like to acknowledge the outpouring of love for her from the people of Co. Wicklow and beyond, since she left last week, to go to another place.
“Slán leat – Me a go – ‘Ma’a salama,” the statement added.
The procession route will start at the Harbour Bar end of Strand Road and continue along the seafront to the other end of Strand Road, with Sinead’s family then continuing on to a private burial.
