Simon Cowell has been pictured with his arm in a brace after he was involved in his second bike accident in 18 months.
The Britain’s Got Talent star, 62, only started riding again late last year after breaking his back in Malibu in August 2020 after revving his e-bike by accident.
The star then broke his arm in the second crash earlier this year, which took place near his home in West London, and later called himself a “nutter” and vowed to “wear a helmet” in future.
It looks like the music industry boss is still on the mend as he made an appearance at the Kid’s Choice Awards in Santa Monica over the weekend while sporting a black and grey arm brace.
Simon posed for photos alongside his America’s Got Talent co-host Sofia Vegara, 49, after the pair picked up the award for Best Reality Show at the awards ceremony.
He was also photographed alongside Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Terry Crews, and wore the grey arm brace in colour coordination with his casual look of black trousers and a grey jumper.
News broke on Tuesday 1 February of the 62 year old’s accident and witnesses of the ordeal said Simon was seen with ”blood pouring from his face”.
The TV mogul wasn’t wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, which was thought to have been caused after the dad-of-one went over a wet patch on the road.
Simon was later pictured with a neon coloured arm cast with small doodles on; presumably done by his seven year old son Eric, whom he shares with fiancée Lauren Silverman, 44.
While he badly hurt his arm, Simon later said that he’s doing “much better”.
He told MailOnline: “I'm OK. I'm feeling much better thank you. It happened just round the corner.”
“I'm a bit of a nutter. I'll definitely wear a helmet next time,” he added, appearing to confirm that he doesn’t plan on stopping riding anytime soon."
Simon’s first e-bike accident was in August 2020, which left him with several fractured vertebrae.
He said after his recovery: "It could have been a lot worse. When I saw the X-ray, I really nearly could have smashed my spine to pieces, so I literally wouldn’t have been able to walk."
Simon took a brief hiatus from riding after his accident, but was soon spotted on his e-bike once again.
“I knew I’d broken my back the minute I landed," Simon further told Extra TV last year.
Simon proceeded to gush about how well Lauren and Eric looked after him. He said: "[Lauren] was amazing.
“Both her and Eric, they were like my support. I couldn’t have gotten through it without them, so we got closer.”
