Royal fans were left stunned afterKing Charles andQueen Camilla were spotted dancing along to Lionel Richieas he took to the stage at the Coronation Concert .
The American singer, who was among one of the 2,000 guests to witness the King’s Coronation at Westminster Abbey, wasamong one of the first acts to perform at Windsor Castle where he entertained the crowds with a selection of his hit songs.
After a rendition of his Commodores’ song Easy, the 73 year old got the Royal Family dancing and on their feet as he jumped into an energetic performance of All Night Long.
Clearly enjoying Lionel’s hit songs, Charles and Camilla could be seen having a dance along while others including the Duchess of Edinburgh as well as Zara and Mike Tindall could be seen embracing the party atmosphere, too.
Meanwhile, Prince George and Princess Charlotte were seen happily watching along as they waved their Union Jack flags.
And social media users at home enjoyed Lionel’s performance, with many taking to Twitter to discuss King Charles, 74, and 75 year old Camilla’s nifty footwork.
“Charles is dancing to Lionel I love it [laughing and clapping hands emoji],” wrote one twitter user.
Meanwhile a second social media user wrote: “King Charles dancing to Lionel Richie [laughing emoji] #coronationconcert”.
Another added: “Seeing the King dancing to Lionel Richie was not on my Coronation weekend bingo card [laughing emoji] #CoronationConcert (Ps Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall are the only adults who look like they’re having any fun [laughing emoji]).”
Elsewhere, one Twitter user excitedly predicted events to come as they wrote: “I am now expecting Charles and Camilla to start the dancing in the Royal Box…. Here they go!”
But it wasn’t just Lionel that got the couple in good spirits as Charles was spotted grinning from ear to ear as the eventkicked off earlier on in the evening with a few jokes from actor and host for the evening Hugh Bonneville.
Meanwhile, Charles shared a proud smile as Prince William took to the mic to gush over his father’s work and dedication, sweetly addressing the King as “Pa”.
Prince William thanked his father for his decades of service and said the late Queen would be "up there keeping an eye on us all". He finished his speech saying “God Save the King”.
