Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra mark Indian wedding with passionate Vogue shoot

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra’s seemingly endless wedding celebrations continue with a romantic photoshoot for Vogue magazine snapped by world-renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz .

The Bollywood star and the pop idol are shown snuggling together in a bucolic idyll in images that perfectly balance – as you’d expect from the world’s leading photographer – just the right amount of cosy #CoupleGoals and steamy ‘Heathcliff and Cathy’ romance.

The accompanying interview, which is the unique digital cover story for the iconic magazine’s January 2019 issue , recounts how the pair’s whirlwind romance started with Nick cheekily sliding into Priyanka’s DMs back in September 2016.

Priyanka’s reply “My team can read this. Why don’t you just text me?” propelled them into an escalatingly flirty exchange of messages that led to Nick, at the following years Vanity Fair Oscars party, going down on one knee in front of the Baywatch star and exclaiming "You’re real. Where have you been all my life?”

The adorable story of their courtship continues with an account of how Priyanka’s mum was the gooseberry on their first date and how, in July this year, Nick,26, proposed when the pair on a romantic trip to Crete celebrating Priyanka’s 36th birthday.

The wedding has been a complex affair with both Christian and Hindu ceremonies at the stunning Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur featuring traditional Indian elements such as a Mehendi and a Sangeet as well as a more conventionally Western party.

Priyanka’s traditional gown was designed by Sabyasachi Mukherji while the wedding party’s Western-style clothes were all tailored by the couple’s close friend Ralph Lauren and the rings were crafted by Chopard,

In matching Instagram posts to celebrate the occasion the pair wrote: "One of the most special things that our relationship has given us is a merging of families who love and respect each other’s faiths and cultures.

"And so planning our wedding with an amalgamation of both was so so amazing.

“An important part for the girl in an Indian wedding is the Mehendi. Once again we made it our own."
