Meghan Markle’s due date may be sooner than expected

The newest member of the royal family may be arriving sooner than anticipated.

On Tuesday, pregnant Meghan Markle and husband Prince Harry greeted admirers during the royals’ Christmas Day church service at Sandringham. The Duchess of Sussex, who is expecting the couple’s first child this spring, is said to have given an update on her due date.

“She said, ‘We are excited. We are nearly there,’” fan Karen Anvil recalled to E! News. “I said, ‘Enjoy every moment, being a mother is a wonderful thing.”

Markle, 37, who wore a Victoria Beckham ensemble for the holiday festivities, was also joined by Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton. The duchesses appeared to be in good spirits amid rumors of a rift. Middleton, 36, and Markle previously reunited last week for the royal family’s Christmas luncheon at Buckingham Palace.

Speculation surrounding the “tense” relationship between Markle and Middleton has heightened in recent months, this after a report the former “Suits” actress left the mother of three in tears following a dress fitting for Middleton’s daughter, Princess Charlotte, ahead of May’s royal wedding, according to The Sun.

“They try their best to get along but they are two people from wildly different places, so it is perhaps inevitable that they will rub each other up the wrong way,” a source said of Markle and Middleton.

Though Markle and Middleton currently reside in close quarters at Kensington Palace, the mom-to-be and Harry, 34, are expected to move to Frogmore Cottage on the grounds of Windsor Estate in early 2019.

“Windsor is a very special place for their royal highnesses and they are grateful that their official residence will be on the estate,” the palace said in a statement in November.

Markle and Harry tied the knot at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle earlier this year.
