Mark Wright has confirmed he has quit his ‘dream role’ presenting on US chat show Extra to move back to the UK and be with wife Michelle Keegan .
The ex TOWIE star has spent the last two years living apart from actress Michelle, 31, but has now bowed out of Hollywood for good.
Rumours surrounding the couple’s marriage have been rife ever since Mark first move Stateside in 2017.
Though the pair have always maintained they managed to work in spite of the long-distance.
Mark told The Sun he’d had an amazing time in the US but felt now was the time was right to move back to Blighty.
He said: "It just feels like the right time to come back to the UK and live here with my wife and family.
"I’ll always be grateful to the show Extra for the amazing opportunity they gave me."
The announcement comes just as Mark prepares to return to UK screens once again.
The former reality star will present the new series of The Bachelor on Channel 5 later this year.
The dating show will see 31-year-old singleton Alex Marks try and find the perfect partner among 17 hopefuls.
It’s Mark’s first big TV role in the UK for 15 months.
After tying the knot in 2015, Mark and Michelle have spent the last two years torn apart over their work commitments.
Michelle has spent long stints abroad filming Our Girl while Mark has been keeping busy in Los Angeles.
They have both spoken out to deny their long distance relationship had any effect on their mariage.
Mark said: "Wifi makes FaceTime free so we make it work."
While Michelle has also defended their relationship.
She previously hit out in Fabulous magazine: No one knows how much we see each other because we don’t publicise it. People say: "Ah, they haven’t seen each other for ages," but they don’t know.
"Mark sometimes comes home for a weekend and no one knows he’s even there. Over the years we’ve learned how to do that and I’ve definitely become more private."
