Loose Women’s Penny Lancaster, 51, and Rod Stewart, 77, celebrate 15th wedding anniversary

Penny Lancaster and Rod Stewart have celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary in style.

The pair married back in 2007 in an intimate ceremony in La Cervara, Italy, and the couple look happier than ever 15 years later.

In a sweet post on Penny's Instagram account, it showed the 77-year-old rock star with his model wife, 51, posing in front of a fancy stairwell before a dinner.

The couple are celebrating the occasion slightly earlier than expected, however, with the official anniversary not until next Thursday. But rock star Rod is heading stateside for a couple of shows at the Hollywood Bowl and Santa Barbara Bowl before hitting the road on a tour of the US.

Captioning the post, Penny wrote: "Early 15th anniversary dinner, before Rod flys off for his long awaited shows #hollywoodbowl #santabarbrabowl."

In the photo, the couple cosied up to each other, looking content as they wrapped their arms around one another, and Rod resting his head on his wife's shoulder.

Penny looked stunning in a cream dress combined with a faux fur gilet and a pair of golden sandals. Rod, on the other hand, wore a navy blazer with lace trimming with an all-cream lower-half, complementing his wife's outfit.

This comes days after the rock and roll artist performed at the star-studded Party at the Palace for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

Penny was watching her partner from the audience, and shared a sweet family snap on Instagram to mark the occasion.

The pair were joined by Rod's sister Mary, 92, eldest daughter Kimberly, 42, youngest son Aiden, 11, his daughter Ruby, 34, and other family friends.

Alongside the photo, Penny wrote: "Happy Jubilee celebrations."

At the concert, Rod joined some of the biggest names in the music industry to help celebrate the Queen's 70 years on the throne.

However, some were left unimpressed by his decision to cover Neil Diamond's much-loved Sweet Caroline, putting his own raspy twist on the karaoke favourite.

While some were quick to join in with the rocker, some viewers felt he "butchered" the track, with one person writing "The party at the palace is good but how can you butcher Sweet Caroline?"

Another said: "Was enjoying the Party at the Palace until Rod Stewart singing Sweet Caroline."

But after the show, Rod revealed he was almost not been there at all, with both Rod and his backing singers all testing positive for Covid-19 in the middle of his long-awaited US tour.

He said: "I just came home especially for this, and I got Covid and I got over it! All six of us got it, we're just glad to be here."
