Funerals are a time for families to come together, and that's exactly what happened at Prince Philip's service as Kate Middleton lended her support to father-in-law Prince Charles.

The mum-of-three, who pledged to 'work hard' after Wills proposed, left St George's Chapel and consoled Prince Charles as they departed.

The 39 year old planted a tender kiss on Charles' cheek and proved what a supportive daughter-in-law she was.

Kate was pictured putting her arm around William's dad, 72, and checking how he was following the service.

The brunette beauty wore the Queen's pearl choker to the funeral, which was once borrowed by Princess Diana.

At Windsor Castle for the funeral Saturday, Kate could be seen wearing a four-strand pearl and diamond choker.

The choker was made for Queen Elizabeth with pearls gifted to her by Japan. Her Majesty has worn the stunning piece on a number of occasions over the years.

Notably, it was also worn by Princess Diana in 1982. Kate has also been previously seen wearing the choker, including in 2017 when she attended the Queen and Prince Philip's 70th wedding celebrations at Windsor Castle.

As well as providing support for Charles, Kate was also on hand to be there for her husband as he reunited with brother Harry.

All eyes were on the pair as they walked together after the service, and were joined by Kate.

"It's fantastic to see Harry walking between Kate and William," body language expert Derek Heron told OK! exclusively.

"That's a huge acceptance. They are still close. There is still a massive brotherly bond there."

"Kate stepping aside allowing them to walk together has lots of good signs," Derek continued.

The body language expert went on to claim that the siblings seemed to be relaxed as they enjoyed one another' company.

"Kate stepping aside allowing them to walk together has lots of good signs."

"It was very natural the way it happened. Will, Harry and Kate seemed very relaxed as they walked together."

Harry, 36, reportedly contacted William, 38, as well as his father Prince Charles and cousins Eugenie and Beatrice when he arrived in the UK.

It was claimed that he wanted to "park any disputes" ahead of his grandfather's funeral.
