Joe Biden addressed the nation of voters in a speech on Friday night (November 6).
The 77-year-old Democratic nominee, with VP pick Kamala Harris standing close by, got candid about the votes that were still being tallied up.
“Never forget: the tallies aren’t just numbers—they represent votes and voters. Men and women who exercise their fundamental right to have their voice heard,” he said, before adding that he is hoping for a victory.
“My fellow Americans — we don’t have a final declaration of victory yet. But the numbers tell us a clear and convincing story. We’re going to win this race.”
Joe also spoke about his day one plans, which had been declared in his campaign, as well – address the pandemic.
“I want everyone, everyone to know on day 1, we’re gonna put our plan to control this virus into action,” he said. “We can’t save any of the lives lost…but we can save a lot of lives in the months ahead.”
