Inside ‘incredible parents’ Zara and Mike Tindall’s ordinary family life with ‘sweet’ kids

Chloe Madeley and James Haskell have been long time friends of Zara and Mike Tindall.

And when we caught up with expectant Chloe and her rugby star husband to chat all things babies, they gave us an insight into their pals' family life.

Speaking to OK!, dad-to-be James told us: “They are brilliant parents. Every time I go and stay with them or see them, I just think what a wonderful family they’ve got. Mike’s an incredible dad, Zara’s an incredible mum."

Olympian Zara, who is the Queen's granddaughter and former rugby player Mike, share three children, Mia, eight, Lena, three, and 11-month-old Lucas.

"Every time I go and stay with them or see them, I just think what a wonderful family they’ve got. Mike’s an incredible dad, Zara’s an incredible mum. Mia, Lena and Lucas are so sweet."

And it's Mia that James told has a special bond with.

"I get on really well with Mia – I kind of want our daughter to be like her," he said.

"Cheeky, a bit of a tomboy and girly when she needs to be. I’ll take any advice from them.”

Chloe and James are to become parents to a baby girl this summer and told OK! they've yet to pick out a name for their forthcoming arrival.

“It’s going to be a battle,” Chloe said.

“James has a favourite, I have a favourite and my mum has a favourite – they’re all different.”

This makes James laugh and he added, “We’re not entertaining your mum’s names!”

Chloe's famous mum and dad are legendary presenting duo Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan, who are so "excited" to welcome another granddaughter.

Chloe, who is now 21 weeks pregnant, said: “I have three older brothers and they all have children, and my mum explained to me it’s a bit different when it’s your son’s wife having a baby.

“You don’t want to be a monster-in-law and getting involved in a pregnancy. With me, she can be as neurotic and involved as she wants to be. And she is being – and I love it. It’s a really lovely thing and she’s so happy, emotional and involved, but I love it.”
