Helen Skelton, 37, was on Instagram speaking to her 202,000 followers as she took a train to an undisclosed location. The Countryfile star shared a photo of herself wearing a blue surgical mask paired with a camel colour coat as she expressed annoyance at the UK’s transport system.
I am lucky I usually drive
Helen wrote: “First post lockdown public transport journey.
“As the corona coaster goes today made me mad. Bloody virus you’re robbing a lot.
“I am lucky I usually drive (I work random hours) …but this is s**t for peeps.”
She also included hashtags such as #stopthespread and #travelsafe in her post.
It comes as the star recently shared that she was supposed to be giving a talk at Edinburgh Book Festival, however due to social distancing measures it took place over Zoom.
The star typed: “I was really excited to talk about the book at the Edinburgh Book Festival.
“Didn’t think it would involve the boys mud kitchen and zoom but there you go.
“Thanks for having me @edbookfest Apologies if I was fidgeting but I was cross legged on Marshall and chase.

Helen was discussing her latest children’s book Wild Girl: How To Have Incredible Adventures on video call to the event.
Underneath, her fans heaped praised on the home expert for writing such a “positive” book for young girls.
One wrote: “This is 1 of the best books I have bought for my 8yr old daughter during lockdown. It has given us so many positive conversations & she absolutely loves it. Well done for all you have achieved so far & for being a great role model xx.” (sic)
Another replied: “We love your book and me and my girls are in awe of what you achieved. Inspirational.”

Helen recently spoke on finding it hard to keep her family amused now the sun is no longer shining, after the UK experienced heavy downpours.
But she was also relieved by the rainy weather, which was preventing her children from diving in their paddling pool.
The star said that the children’s fearless diving had began “to scare” her.
Helen penned: “What a difference a day makes… hands up who finds it easier to keep the family amused when the sun is shining?
“Ideas for a rainy afternoons welcome! (Not complaining the ever-increasing dives my kids wanted to do into the paddling pool were starting to scare me).”(sic)
In the photo, Helen soaked up the last of the rays in an olive bikini top, paired with tortoiseshell sunglasses.
Her young son Louis could be seen in the background enjoying a dip in the pool.
