Helen Skelton has broken her silence since news emerged that her ex-husband Richie Myler has welcomed a baby with his girlfriend, Stephanie Thirkill.
The professional rugby player, 32, is thought to have welcomed a new baby with his girlfriend Stephanie, just 11 months after leaving the family home he shared with Countryfile's Helen, 39.
His Leeds Rhino coach Rohan Smith confirmed that Richie had become a parent again, saying: "Richie has spent a bunch of time in hospital with the birth of his new little baby, so we've given him a little time off to settle in at home."
Helen didn't seem to be letting the news phase her as she spoke about parenting.
Speaking at the Kinder Masters of Play Festival she said: “Being a mum of three, I know how challenging it can be to keep your kids entertained, particularly during the school holidays.
"But what I keep telling myself is we’re all doing our best!
"I’m lucky that my kids play so well together but it can be a massive juggling act."
Helen shares Ernie, seven, Louis, five, and baby Elsie with her ex, Richie. The couple reportedly split when Elsie was four months old.
Richie was married to Countryfile presenter Helen for nine years before the pair went their separate ways in 2022.
In April 2022,Helen revealed on Instagramthat she and Richie had split, just four months after she had given birth to their third child together.
“Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple,” she wrote on Instagram. “He has left the family home. We will be doing our best to co-parent our small children.”
Richie later revealed he and his new girlfriend Stephanie Thirkill, the daughter of Leeds Rhinos owner Andrew Thirkill, were expecting their first child together.
A pal said: “They’re thrilled by the pregnancy.
“The timing of the pregnancy may raise a few eyebrows though.
“It is obviously such a huge step, and one made remarkably quickly off the back of Helen and Richie’s eight-year marriage ending.
"But Richie and Helen maintain cordial relations, and in a way the timing is actually perfect as Helen is so happy at the moment."
Helen has been rumoured to be joining the line-up for this year's edition of Celebs Go Dating, an E4 source has told The Sun.
The insider told the outlet: "Helen has already proved she is great on TV and is really interesting to watch. The public really felt for her after her split and bosses think everyone would love to see her dating journey."
"They are willing to offer her big bucks to take part, but it looks like Helen really isn’t interested in sharing that part of her life."
Helen was a contestant on 2022's Strictly Come Dancing, where she narrowly missed out on winning to Hamza Yassin.
