Gillie Da Kid’s Son YNG Cheese Dies in Triple Shooting

Fellow rap star Wallo confirms the heartbreaking news in an Instagram post, while Gillie himself has yet to address his son’s death on his social media account.

AceShowbiz -Another rapper fell victim to gun violence. Rapper and podcast host Gillie Da Kid‘s son YNG Cheese passed away after being involved in a triple shooting in Philadelphia on Thursday night, July 20.

Confirming Cheese’s passing was fellow rap star Wallo. He wrote on his Instagram account, “Lil Cuz usually when I talk to you, I got a lot to tell you. Tonight the pain in my heart & tears spoke to you. I love you beyond life Cheese. I got your father, Rest well!” He also added multiple broken heart emojis.

21 Savage was among those who reacted to Wallo’s posts as he commented, “Dam gill.” Lil Eazy E, meanwhile, wrote, “send my love n prayers God bless…..” with Metro Boomin leaving praying hand emojis underneath the post.

As for Gillie, he has yet to address his son’s death on his social media account. The popular Philly star, however, responded to a tribute posted by Batcave Studio. “This is rough and so painful I can’t sleep knowing one of my best friends just lost a son to the streets.I keep staring at my little boy afraid of what the future holds because it’s only getting worse. @gilliedaking @gillie_da_king and family are extended family to me and my family and were all crushed and I still can’t believe it. you nephew,” it penned. “Love u brother,” Gillie wrote in the comments section.

According to police, the shooting occurred on the 5800 block of Mascher Street at 8:24 P.M. The police report reported that a 25-year-old man was shot once in the back and taken to the hospital by police. He was pronounced dead at 8:39 P.M.

The victims also included a 28-year-old man and a 31-year-old man who were also shot in the incident. They were transported to the hospital and are currently in stable condition.

The authorities further stated that one of the victims ran to a nearby home. While 10 spent shell casings were located at the scene, no weapons were recovered. No arrest has been made so far.
