Gemma Collins has opened up on her romance with ex-fiancé Rami Hawash, downplaying it as she explained they're just "having fun".

The 40-year-old-and and Rami, 45, were engaged back in 2013 but decided to go their separate ways just one year later. The pair briefly reunited in 2017 but the rekindling of their relationship was short-lived as they decided they were better off as pals.

Nearly four years later, the former TOWIE star and the owner of a car mechanical repairs company have been pictured on a romantic dinner in London, where they could be seen cuddling.

However, Gemma warned fans not to get their hopes up as she explained they're not actually "properly dating".

"Me and Rami is nothing serious. He is a lovely guy and I am just having some fun. We’re not properly dating, we’re not getting married," she told The Sun Online.

Gemma, who was recently forced to slow down workouts and sleep longer amid her ongoing PCOS battle, continued: "We’re just friends and we occasionally go out for dinner. It isn’t serious, it’s fun.

“I’ve had a tough time in the past and Rami has been a great support. We have a great time together and that’s all there is to it," she added.

The reality star and Rami were reported to have rekindled their relationship in late April, seven years after their engagement fell apart.

A source told MailOnline: "Gemma has been seeing Rami again in secret for the last six months. The pair have enjoyed spending time together and getting reacquainted during date nights in London and Essex.

"Gemma suffered a lot of stress and trauma during her relationship with Arg, which has been on and off for years – but she's finally putting herself first and moving forward with her life."

The former TOWIE star and and on-off boyfriend James Argent split last year.

Gemma discussed Arg's addiction struggles in a candid conversation and admitted it "broke her heart".

Speaking on The Gemma Collins Podcast, she said: "This is going to sound harsh but it is something I have dealt with in my life.

"As much as you love them, they really need help and addiction is a very serious illness.

"I am going to tell you now, if you carry on like this things are going to get very out of control and you are going to end up in a distressing situation.

"I can speak from my heart on this one because I have been there," Gemma expressed. Despite not explicitly mentioning his name, the bubbly blonde has previously spoken about the devastating effects of 33 year old Arg's addiction.

She continued: "People do get the right help, people do work on the steps.

"I've been where you are, you want to help and you believe them but once cocaine and addiction grabs hold of someone, you are powerless to do it.

"You are not the professional, I've been there myself and it's going to really break your heart. I've seen it, I've been there, I've got the T-shirt and I found it too distressing and impacting on my own life," Gemma explained.
