And on Monday George RR Martin promised he WILL finish the Game Of Thrones source novels.
Writing on his Not A Blog blog, the 70-year-old thanked his loyal followers for their patience.

‘I am back in my fortress of solitude, and back in Westeros,’ he wrote.
‘It won’t be tomorrow, and it won’t be next week, but you will get the end of A SONG OF ICE AND FIRE.’

The author assuaged fans by reminding them they have the Game Of Thrones final season approaching in April, while its prequel show is currently being developed.

The 700-page reference book and novella collection delves into the history of House Targaryen, hundreds of years before the plot-line of Game Of Thrones.
Some fans were irked that Martin paused his writings on A Song Of Ice And Fire to write it; many more are worried because there is a second part to Fire And Blood still to come.
A Song Of Ice And Fire — on which the mega-hit HBO show is based — consists of seven books: A Game Of Thrones, A Clash Of Kings, A Storm Of Swords, A Feast For Crows, and A Dance With Dragons have already been completed.
Martin has been writing the sixth book — The Winds Of Winter — since 2011, while he has technically yet to even start the final book: A Dream Of Spring.
He has briefed showrunners DB Weiss and David Benioff on how the books will end; however that does not guarantee the books and show will have matching conclusions.
