The three-year protective order requires the 29-year-old woman named Mesha Collins to stay at least 100 yards away from the ‘Certified Lover Boy’ hitmaker and his family.
AceShowbiz –Drake can now breathe a sigh of relief. The “Certified Lover Boy” artist has been granted a restraining order against a creepy female stalker who often sends him threatening emails “wishing him dead.”
On Tuesday, April 19, a judge ordered a three-year restraining order against Mesha Collins, who has been stalking the Canadian rapper for years. The protective order requires Mesha to stay at least 100 yards away from the Grammy-winning musician, his 4-year-old son Adonis, his mother Sandy Graham as well as his father Dennis Graham.
The restraining order is expected to expire on April 11, 2025. The 29-year-old female stalker was reportedly absent from Tuesday’s hearing but will receive “timely and proper notice” of the outcome.
In March, Drake filed for court-ordered protection from Mesha. In the court documents, the “One Dance” hitmaker accused her of sending him threatening emails “wishing him dead” and saying he should “shoot [himself] and [his son Adonis] with a bullet.”
Drake’s lawyer, Larry Stein, alleged that Mesha sent him threatening emails in February. In the emails, she reportedly suggested the “God’s Plan” rapper “put a bullet through [his] head now b***h.”
In the filing, Drake also claimed that the woman tried to gain contact with him by filing a frivolous $4 billion lawsuit and her own restraining order against him. The legal docs additionally stated that the woman was arrested back in 2017 for trespassing on his property.
“As a result of [her] harassment and obsession with me, I have suffered and continue to suffer emotional distress and am concerned for my safety and that of my family,” Drake pointed out. He then begged the court to force the stalker to stay at least 100 yards away from him, his family and his home.
Mesha first slipped into Drake’s house in April 2017 when she later hung out in his bedroom wearing one of his hoodies. She was then taken into police custody for trespassing. However, the woman tried to enter his property once again in July that year when Drizzy was not at home.
In June last year, Mesha filed a $4 billion lawsuit against Drake for invasion of privacy and defamation. However, a judge dismissed the complaint, noting that she “has not demonstrated any of [Drake]’s statements were about [her] or that he used her identity, name, or likeness in his Instagram posts or endorsements.”
