They’re gearing up for their first Christmas together after falling for each other on Love Island .
However, it looks like Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham may not have a Christmas tree come 25 December after failing to care for it properly.
The aspiring actress, 22, admitted the couple were struggling to keep their tree in good condition after deciding not to water it.
Embarrassing her boyfriend on Twitter, Dani admitted she had wondered if they should water the tree, but was overruled by the former stationery salesman, 26.
She tweeted: "I don’t think our Christmas tree is going to make it to Christmas, every time I touch it it dissolves. It is losing weight by the day because someone didn’t realise real Christmas trees need water. I knew I was right Jack."
Dani and Jack have only been living together for a few months in their rented Wapping, east London pad, having previously resided with their families.
Last week, the couple hit the headlines when it looked like they had split up after Dani posted a dramatic statement on Instagram.
She wrote: "Jack & I have sadly decided to part ways. It’s been an incredible 6 months, and we will always have a place in our hearts for each other, but sadly we’ve come to the realisation that it’s not meant to be long term.
"We both plan to stay friends. I hope you’ll all understand. Love Dani."
However, her father, EastEnders actor Danny Dyer, clarified this week that the couple had just had a row and Dani wrote the statement in the immediate aftermath of their argument and soon regretted it.
Appearing on The Jonathan Ross Show this weekend, Danny said: "I just want to put something to bed. She hasn’t split up with Jack, that’s all b**locks, that is.
"Jon, they’ve had a row. They’ve had a row, she’s got a bit emotional and I think she has whacked that [message] up and immediately regretted it.
"You know what women are like… I’m just saying she got a little bit irate, screaming and shouting, the ultimate way to punish him maybe. I don’t know what was going on but I can tell you now, they’re sweet."
