Dancing On Ice star Brendan Cole rushed to hospital during training for ITV show

Dancing On Ice star Brendan Cole was rushed to hospital during training for the ITV show after the dancer suffered concussion.

The 45 year old former Strictly Come Dancing professional, who accidentally injured his Dancing On Ice partner Vanessa Bauer while they were training on Wednesday 24 November, described how he received treatment in A and E following the nasty fall.

New Zealand native Brendan described how he 'took [his] mind' off the ice 'for a second' which was the last thing he could remember.

Speaking to the Daily Star, he said: “I was taken to hospital and ended up with a concussion. When I realised what had happened, I was horrified."

He continued: "The moment you switch off, you make silly mistakes. It has been a great learning curve.

“It made me think, ‘Don’t do that again, as this is really dangerous’. The other day I was on the ice and had 20 minutes left of my training session, but I knew I was running out of steam and could start making mistakes."

It comes after pro skater Vanessa shared a video revealing a sore red scrape across her shoulder blades as she told her followers: “Got @brendancoleinsta’s blade in my back.

“@dancingonice really is a bit dangerous…” Vanessa then warned.

Upset about the accident, Brendan told his partner it was “bad bad bad” and he was “sorry,” also sharing a crying emoji.

After the unfortunate mishap, the pair went on to enjoy a relaxing drink together to get past the trauma of a painful day on the rink.

“His first Bubble tea experience,” Vanessa laughed.

Brendan and Vanessa have been getting on like a house on fire and enjoying each other’s company so far.

The pro shared a video of her and Brendan laughing and giggling on their way to ITV Palooza on Tuesday evening and the pair looked ready for a fun night at the annual event.

A far cry from their usual workout clothes, Vanessa looked stunning in a revealing red plunge dress.

She opted to wear her silky brunette locks tied up in a loose ponytail.

While her dancer celebrity looked smart in a fitted black suit for the occasion.

Later on, the duo showed their trust in each other as they teased and joked about Brendan’s skills on the ice so far.

Brendan and Vanessa were also spotted taking selfies with the rest of their Dancing On Ice crew throughout the night.
