Sort Your Life Out presenter Stacey Solomon has taken to Instagram to share an emotional update with fans as she continues to grieve the loss of her family’s dog, Theo. Posting a festive snap of herself and baby Rose, the Loose Women panellist, 32, told of how she was struggling to “shake the feeling” of grief after her 11-year-old pet died on Boxing Day after falling ill.

In view of her 4.9 million followers, the flame-haired star said the Solomon-Swash family hadn’t been in the mood to document baby Rose’s first Christmas following their recent heartbreak.

Stacey wrote: “Rose’s First Christmas, with all that happened over Christmas I didn’t take any photos.

“But Joe got this one I love it so much, I didn’t want 2022 to sneak up on me or Roses first Christmas to pass by before I got to share it.

“I hope you all have had a lovely Christmas.

“And are enjoying this in betweeny bit where no one knows what day it is,” [sic] Stacey added.

The star went on to thank her followers for their messages of support following the death of her dog earlier this week.

Stacey continued: “Thank you all so much for your kind, heartfelt messages for Theo.

“They’ve brought me so much comfort when I really needed it so I’m truly grateful.

“Love you all lots and lots,” she ended her post.

The sweet snap featured Tap to Tidy star Stacey grinning from ear to ear as she hugged her daughter Rose in front of a fire.

The tot was dressed in a festive red dress to match her mum’s long tresses and wore a sweet floral headband to match.

Stacey also featured a preview of the post in her stories, writing: “Rose’s first Christmas, I’m sorry I’ve been this quiet I just can’t shake this feeling.

“Love you all and thank you for being so kind,” she added.

On Tuesday, Stacey shared the devastating news on Instagram that her beloved dog Theo had died “in our arms” on Boxing Day.

The mum-of-four shared a gallery of family photos featuring her beloved dog Theo and her eldest children Zachary, 13, Leighton, nine, and Rex, two, snuggling up to her, while sharing the heartbreaking news.

In an update two days later, Stacey said he was feeling “so lost” following the passing of Theo.

She wrote: “I am so lost. Even going to the toilet and not having you at my feet.

“The doorbell goes and there’s no bark.

“I climbed into bed for the first time in 11 years and you weren’t jumping in with me.

“I’m so lost without you Theo,” the mother-of-four added.
