Brad Pitt is showing his support for those graduating amid uncertain times.
Per People, the Oscar-winning actor recorded a special video message for the graduates of Missouri State University that appeared on the college’s social media pages in honor of the Class of 2020. Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, a slew of colleges and universities will not be going forward with their traditional, in-person ceremonies.
“Hi everyone, Brad here from quarantine with a shout-out to the graduating class of Missouri State University!” said Pitt in the recorded message. “It must be very strange doing this in these trying times, but know we’re rooting for you. Our money’s on you to make this world a better place. And we wish you all the best in your future endeavors.”
In the quick clip, Pitt is seen matching his T-shirt to the lush greenery behind him and rocking noticeably longer tresses that were swept to one side. Though Pitt himself didn’t attend Missouri State (he actually went to the University of Missouri), the college is located in his hometown of Springfield, where a pre-Hollywood Pitt spent his formative years.
“You did it, you made it!” encouraged Pitt at the end of the video. “Enjoy, congrats again, and think big!”
Pitt’s graduation address hasn’t been the only surprise appearance from the actor since the start of quarantine. The Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood star made a brief—but hilarious—cameo as a nonchalant weatherman on John Krasinki’s Internet show, Some Good News.
