After a freak accident left Abbie Quinnen with horrific burns, the brave star has publicly bared her scars for the very first time.

The professional dancer, who previously enjoyed a day at Legoland, appeared during a segment on Wednesday's episode of Lorraine, where she spoke about the impact of her accident.

The 24 year old opened up about her daily routine and what she needs to do each day to help the healing of her scars.

She explained: "I have to moisturise four times a day, I just have to use circular motions and keep all of my scars hydrated.

"After I do that I use my sillicone sheets and then I put my compression vests on which I wear for 23 hours a day."

Abbie's boyfriend AJ Pritchard then appeared on screen and said: "There are very bad days and very low lows and it makes me feel very upset."

The blonde beauty went on to admit that she finds some days tough and gets emotional after looking in the mirror.

Abbie continued: "Some days I just sit in silence and I cry all day and I look back at myself in the mirror and I'm not happy with what I'm wearing and I do just end up crying and I get back into bed because I feel like I wasn't ready for the world to see me.

"I feel like I'm less fun now because I'm always just aware of everything around me.

"I definitely am really anxious and there are times where I do think 'Oh my god, my heart is beating so fast' so it is a whirlwind of emotions that's for sure."

Abbie later met up with fellow burns survivor Katie Piper, who took her to meet other victims.

The performer met two women, Rochelle and Sylvia who helped her get her confidence back.

After hearing the ladies inspirational stories, Abbie gushed: "Honestly, I feel so emotional with you guys, your so inspirational to me."

Katie, 37, then asked the brave star: "Would you be up for putting on your swimsuit today with the ladies?"

She responded: "I think you guys have given me the confidence to actually show off my scars."

"This is such a weird moment, I've never showed my scars to anyone apart from AJ and my family. I'm so pleased that I got out there and I am showing off my scars. It's the first time ever and I'm feeling so positive."

Abbie proceeded to put on her swimsuit and proudly showed off her scars as she swam in the pool alongside the other ladies.
