Eco-warriers sing songs and cheer on celebrities as they cause travel chaos by blocking Waterloo Bridge

ECO-WARRIORS blockading Waterloo Bridge sang songs and cheered on celebrity luvvies yesterday.

The smell of cannabis was thick in the air as protesters also set up a skateboard ramp in the middle of the bridge.

They daubed political slogans on the pavement in chalk, including “If the future isn’t vegan there is no future” and “Free Julian Assange and Chelsea Manning”.

Environmentalist Chris Packham, 57, and Olympic gold medal-winning canoeist Etienne Stott gave speeches from the top of a bus stop.

Stott, 39, later told The Sun: “I know it causes a huge amount of disruption but the problem is this disruption pales into insignificance when you’re considering literally the breakdown of civilization.

“And I didn’t make that up. David Attenborough said that.”

Later, police dismantled the half-pipe and carried it away. They cleared tents and threatened to put protesters’ possessions in a skip.
