Viewers put-off watching Game of Thrones after Goggleboxers terrible reactions

Fans saw the iconic Goggleboxers watch this week’s most exciting TV events tonight, including new BBC drama Gentlemen Jack starring Suranne Jones, ITV news showing Nigel Farage getting pelted with milkshake and the final episode of Game of Thrones.

The show got off to a racy start after fans, as well as the Gogglebox gang saw snippets of BBC’s Gentleman Jack.

Suranne Jones played the eighteenth century lesbian Anne Lister in the drama, and was seen passionately making love to another woman in bed.

Seemingly stunned by the romp scene, OAP’s Mary and Marina were  perplexed as they tried to figure out exactly what was going on.

However, it was the final ever episode of Game of Thrones that really got the show’s families talking, after they watched the final scenes from the concluding series.

Echoing many GoT fans’ opinions, several Gogglebox participants were underwhelmed after Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) was announced as the new Night King.

The Siddique family were seen saying: “So if he can tell the future, then this whole thing was a waste and he saw it all coming, he knew all along”.

While sisters, Ellie and Ozzie Warner deemed the closing scenes: “Sh*t”.

Meanwhile, it seemed the less-than-enthusiastic response to the fantasy drama prompted many Gogglebox fans to decide not to watch Game of Thrones at all.

One Twitter user said: “Watching Game of Thrones through Gogglebox and they reacted pretty sh*t, as I always suspected.”

Another added:”Even the people on Gogglebox were baffled by the Game of Thrones finale – not for me.”

While a third said: “Never watched game of Thrones but watching this on Gogglebox makes me think I haven’t missed much.”

Gogglebox continues on Friday at 9pm on Channel 4.
