How is Doctor Legg a millionaire in EastEnders, how much is he worth and how much did he leave Dot?

But everyone was stunned when it was revealed he’d left his entire estate to his long-term friend Dot Branning. No one was more shocked than Dot who headed off to Ireland to come to terms with the news. So how much did he leave her? Let’s have a look…

How much money did Doctor Legg leave Dot in EastEnders?

It’s not really known how much money Doctor Legg left Dot as he left her his estate rather than actual cash.

Doctor Legg – who passed away in February 2019 from pancreatic cancer – owned a four bedroom property in Golders Green.

The area is known for its large Jewish population. It’s also one of the most expensive areas in Barnet, North London, if you wanted to buy a house there.

Stuart Highway pointed out that Doctor Legg had made Dot a millionaire by leaving her his estate.

Sonia Fowler revealed that Doctor Legg’s house was in the nice part of Golders Green and had four bedrooms.

Stuart said it was ‘silly money.’ The GP had presumably bought the house years ago and the rise in property prices made him a millionaire.

Is Dot Branning a millionaire in EastEnders?

It’s hard to say really but property prices range from £850k right up to over £13 million in Golders Green, according to Rightmove.co.uk.

The solicitor revealed that Doctor Legg had left his entire estate to Dot during an episode on March 1 2019. It’s not clear exactly how much was left to her or what the house is worth.

But it’s clearly a hefty sum judging by everyone’s reactions.

Dot was stunned by the amount of money she had come into but Stuart revelled in the news.

Dot then revealed that she would be heading over to Ireland to stay with her grandson Charlie Cotton and her great-grandson Matthew as it was too much for her to take in and she needed to clear her head.
