MANCHESTER UNITED and Arsenal are reportedly braced for a £91 million transfer war with their Premier League rivals for Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz.
The 20-year-old attacking midfielder has caught the eye of nearly every top club in Europe after his stunning displays in the Bundesliga last term.
He bagged 20 goals for Leverkusen and is reportedly set to try and push for a move next summer.
And Sport 1 claims five of the Prem’s biggest clubs are all set to battle it out for the German international’s signature.
United and Arsenal have already lodged their interest in Havertz.
While Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool are also keen on the starlet.
But the English quintet will face huge competition from Spain, with the report also stating Real Madrid and Barcelona want to bring him to La Liga.
And it seems Havertz will have his pick of Europe’s top clubs with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich desperate to poach him.
Leverkusen are determined to get the biggest fee possible for their academy-produced ace.
They are demanding at least £91m for the versatile attacker, who can play through the middle or on either winger.
And confidence is high they can land a huge fee having watched Benfica collect £113m from Atletico Madrid for Joao Felix earlier in the summer.
Havertz still has three years remaining on his contract with Leverkusen.
