Venom frontman Conrad “Cronos” Lant shared his memories about the black metal band’s European tour with Metallica in 1984.
“It was a great time. And it was a good time for those guys to actually be able to hit the European shows,” Cronos said in a recent interview about the “Seven Dates Of Hell” tour, which included concerts in Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium and the Netherlands.
“We were looking for bands like us, because, as we always said, we have a different crowd. We [were] not pulling the same kind of crowd that would go and see… Mötley Crüe or whatever,” he told Consquence Of Sound about the collaboration with Metallica.
The Metallica boys are hard-working guys, and nobody can take that away from them, according to Cronos.
Conrad Thomas Lant, who is also known by the stage name of Cronos, is the vocalist and bass player and occasional guitarist of Venom.
