Quentin Tarantino chases off two burglars who raided his LA mansion

Forget the hardmen in his movies… Quentin Tarantino turned into an action hero himself when two burglars raided his LA mansion.

The Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs director came face to face with the pair after they scaled a fence and broke in by smashing a rear window.

Instead of hiding, tough guy Tarantino stood his ground and had a face-off with the raiders until they took off terrified.

A close friend said: “He heard a noise, went to investigate and was shocked to find them rifling through drawers and cabinets. He stood his ground like a character in one of his films and faced them down.

“They must have been stunned because they just stood there for a moment like they were frozen before running off into the night.

“He was pretty shaken but reckons he just acted instinctively by confronting the raiders. Thank God they weren’t armed.”

Police said the thieves took “jewellery and other personal items”.

Detectives are now scouring video footage from Quentin’s security system and those of his neighbours.

Quentin, 55, who wed Israeli pop star Daniella Pick, 35, in November, is shooting Once Upon a Time in Hollywood – the story of the 1969 Manson Family murders, starring Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio.

His spokesman said he could not comment on the robbery as it is an “ongoing police investigation”.

But Quentin once went on record about burglars saying: “If I had a gun and a 12-year-old kid broke into this house… I would kill him. You have no right to come into my house.

“I would empty the gun until you were dead.”
